Replant and protect the rainforests

Our reforestry labor is drawn from the local community, providing employment and aiding the local economy.

Our seedling nursery contains over 70 species, some of them endangered in the wild.

This is a project that helps to protect one of the world's most bio-diverse and fragile habitats. We are working on the project in cooperation with a non-profit foundation "La Reserva Forest Foundation"

The project area in Costa Rica consists of over 7000 hectares (17,000 acres) of lush rainforests, home to some of nature’s most spectacular creatures - including scarlet macaws, jaguars, monkeys and tapirs. The project creates contiguous "biological corridors" where these animals can roam and thrive.

The continuing expansion of urban areas, increases in tourism, improved transportation and development are threatening these precious natural resources. Farmers, hunters, developers, and tourists are flocking to this once-isolated land, and the majestic forests are being cut down.

Your Carbon Offset purchases directly benefit La Reserva and the Rainforest Preservation and Replanting program. With a $240 purchase, our gift to you includes:

  • Serialized and Authentic Offset Certificates with the exact number and location of carbon offset credits you have earned.  These credits are retired on your behalf and count against your personal carbon footprint.
  • A Colorful Rainforest Factsheet about the Rainforest Preservation and Replanting Project.
  • A La Reserva Rainforest baseball cap commemorating your participation in Replant the Rainforest program.
  • A set of signature photos of the specific rainforests you are helping to save in Costa Rica. Also, a thank you letter from the president of the La Reserva Forest Foundation thanking you for your generosity.
  • Periodic updates on the progress of the project. To save paper and prevent more trees from being cut down, we deliver these updates electronically. NO printed material will be mailed. We wish to avoid cluttering your mailbox and requiring you to discard more junkmail!
Many of the species are endangered or threatened. Biological corridors priovide natural habitat for these species.
